The trees on the beach are grown to 30-40 feet high with lush brilliant green leaves and no sign of withering. Winnifreds beach does not welcome beach umbrella's because the branches of the trees reaches over the beaches incoming tide at its eastern and western ends. Along the beach several large trees are so close to the water providing shade and sometimes when the tide rise or there is rough seas the trees are covered halfway up their trunk.
